Litigation: Mr. Adams has devoted a majority of his practice to civil trial and appellate work. In that context, Mr. Adams represented physicians, veterinarians, engineers and architects in professional malpractice actions. He also represented individuals and businesses in a diverse array of litigation matters. He has a very successful trial record representing Plaintiffs and Defendants in professional negligence, wrongful death, car accident, personal injury, products liability, employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases. Mr Adams has also represented businesses in litigation matters arising out of contracts and transactions with other businesses and in the context of employee lawsuits.
Business and Corporate Law: Mr. Adams has worked with businesses in preparation of organizational documents, such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, and operation and leasing agreements as well as non-compete and other employment and HR-related documents. In all of his contract and transactional work, Mr. Adams believes that careful and detailed planning and comprehensive consultation with his clients is essential to obtaining the best results for his clients. With that foundation, Mr. Adams is able to draft documents that are sensible, in his client's best interests, and custom tailored to his client's particular needs and goals.
Consumer & Bankruptcy Law: Mr. Adams has handled claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Consumer Protection Act, and the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act. He has also handled Bankruptcy matters and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Domestic & Family Law: Mr. Adams handles divorce, custody, and support cases. As a single father and co-parent to his son, he has a very pragmatic view of the implications of divorce and custody and how they affect the parents and children. Mr. Adams brings this common sense approach to his handling of domestic and family law cases. He also understands that his clients deserve not only compassion and integrity through the process, but zealous and committed advocacy on their behalf in these matters as the results will have an immense lasting impact on their lives.
